Algarve Golf Course

Spanish Golf Courses

Quinta de Cima Golf Club, Vila Nova de Cacela

Designed by William Roquemore Jr., Quinta de Cima is a spectacular 18 hole golf course located within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.

There are views of the sea and mountains from anywhere along the course. Many of the holes are dog-legs. Greens are protected by bunkers and lakes, particularly the last three.

Quinta da Cima Golf is the inland course of this delightful and new 36 hole complex shared by Quinta da Ria and set in the Ria Formosa National Park near Tavira. Its sister course, Quinta da Ria opened in March 2002 and has already established itself in a very short time as a quality resort course which every level of player will enjoy, time and time again.

Quinta da Cima Golf on the other hand has been designed for the more accomplished player and is the resort's premier test. Winding itself across rolling parkland, the central feature of Quinta da Cima Golf is a river which passes right across the course setting up several strategic balancing lakes as it goes.

The water course comes into play on many holes and is skilfully blended with an enormous number of native olive trees (many huge and centuries old), carob & almond trees. The architect has also used the higher elevations for tees and greens resulting in a visually stunning course to play.

Quinta da Cima Golf is technically more demanding than it’s sister course Quinta da Ria, but is very enjoyable.
There will be no real estate construction on the Quinta de Cima Golf course.
